"Main Attraction" by Jeremy Renner (2019)

That's right, this song is by none other than Jeremy Renner, aka Hawkeye, who up until Endgame was the most-boring Avenger.  In other words despite being one of the hottest actors in Hollywood, Renner's true passion is actually making music.

The news isn't that a popular actor has also decided to try to become a successful musician, as this definitely isn't the first time such has occurred.  Rather it's because I checked the song out, and Main Attraction is actually pretty-good.

Of course that term "pretty-good" is relative.  Some listeners may get turned off my Renner's heavily-autotuned voice.  But I think he gave it a heartfelt effort, and I personally like the sound.  I've been (sparsely) listening to old rock tunes as of late and can appreciate the fact that one of Jeremy's musical inspirations is the classic British band Queen.

Renner actually dropped this song in collaboration with Jeep, the American automobile company.  In other words it is part of an overall ad campaign Jeep is conducting this summer.  And two other songs have been released (Nomad and Sign) as part of this effort.  And if full-length videos for those come out also, I'd definitely give them a view.

"Take Me Back to London" by Ed Sheeran ft. Stormzy (2019)

This is the second collaboration between fellow Britons Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.

Stormzy is a a "grime" artist, which is basically a subgenre of rap music, i.e. hip-hop with a distinct British flavor.  He has been blowing up in recent years and is now considered the UK's premier rapper, for lack of a better word.  He did a remix of Ed Sheeran's Shape of You in 2017, which they performed together at the 2017 Brit Awards (the British equivalent to the Grammys) as embedded below.

Take Me Back to London is featured on Ed Sheeran's album No. 6 Collaboraton Project, which dropped on 12 July and features quite a few popular American rappers also.  The two come off as homeys on the track, so I wouldn't be surprised if they release more songs together in the future.  You can have a listen to the track below via its official lyric video.

"South of the Border" by Ed Sheeran ft. Camila Cabello & Cardi B (2019)

This track features Ed Sheeran (United Kingdom) teaming up with Camila Cabello (Cuba / United Sattes) and Cardi B (Dominican Republic / United States).  It's basically about a Whiteboy falling in love with a Latina.  And they are also feeling him, though seemingly for different reasons.

The track is featured on Ed Sheeran's album, No. 6 Collaborations Project.  As the title suggests, this album is full of collaborations between Ed and other artists and may ultimately prove to be the most star-studded album released this year.  The project was released on 12 July 2019.

The official lyric video is embedded below.  You can also checkout the lyrics of the song via Genius.
